Several of you have asked me to share my favorite Glossier products. I've been holding off because I needed to test some of their vegan products that I had yet to try. I still haven't tried everything but I feel ready to share my thoughts so far.
By the way, I'm a rep for Glossier, which means if you shop my link you can get 10% off your first order and I get a small percentage of your sale. This helps so I can continue to test the latest products! ty
My Top 5 Glossier Products
If you're going to try one thing from Glossier, try this! It works wonders at taking off makeup and leaving your skin clean but not dried out. I use it on dry skin to "loosen" all my makeup and then wash it off. I'm happy Glossier came out with a travel size so now I can take MJC with me everywhere I go!
I wish more of Glossier's makeup products were vegan because this lip gloss is so much fun! It's glossy, not too sticky, and is so nostalgic of the '90s. It's a fun gift too.
I tend to prefer physical sunscreens to chemical ones but this clear sunscreen fills a particular need. It doesn't leave any white marks or shine, so it works great as a mid-day top up or as a an extra layer on your hands since it sinks right in. I carried this in my bag all summer and I'll definitely pick up another bottle this spring. Highly recommend!
As someone with sensitive skin, I'm always a little leery of detoxifying masks. This one is detoxifying, yet calming, so you get clear skin without a bright red face. It's the perfect bath time mask as it's a bit messy. Messy, but worth it!
I know it's not a beauty product, but this grey sweatshirt from Glossier may be my favorite thing they've made so far! I wear this sweatshirt around the house at least twice a week. It's so comfy and fits perfectly. Oh, and right now it's on sale for $40. Sounds like a lot for a sweatshirt but it's totally worth it in my opinion.
Products I'd Skip
These are trash. Not only do they come in wasteful packaging, they're also not high quality. Mine fell apart way too easily and the edges felt scratchy on my face. Pass!
I had high hopes for these but they literally did nothing for my skin, at least nothing that I was able to observe. The consistency of the serums is like water. At one point, the glow serum got into my eye. I expected it to burn, but nothing. I know that's not a good test of whether or not a serum works, but it did tell me that these are not very potent serums.
I'm a huge fan of rosewater sprays. If a company has one, I want to try it. That being said, there was nothing special about Glossier's Soothing Face Mist and I prefer them from other brands. Note: I haven't tried the newly reformulated version yet.
I wanted to love this, I really did. This was the very first product I purchased from Glossier when they launched. I love the idea of a "your skin but better product" but this lightweight tint accentuated my pores and felt greasy on my skin. Note: They recently reformulated Perfecting Skin Tint but I haven't tried this version yet so I might change my opinion on this one.
In all fairness, I haven't tried all the vegan Glossier products yet. I'm currently testing Lidstars in Moon and Fawn (the two vegan shades), Body Hero Daily Oil Wash, and the newly formulated Generation G Lipstick. The old Gen G would have gone on my products to skip list but the new one comes in sturdier packaging and has more color payoff, so things are looking good so far.
I haven't tried Wowder (their lightweight powder), Solution (an acid to renew the skin), Zit Stick (targeted pimple treatment), or Super Pure Serum. I plan to try Wowder as soon as my current powders run out. I have no plan to try the other products though as I favor gentle products and I'm concerned with applying anything potentially too harsh to my skin.
As for Glossier as a whole, it's my opinion that everyone seems to have their own favorites. So even if I don't like a product, that doesn't mean that it won't end up on your tops list!
