This year we launched the Velvet Report Vegan Dry Face Mask! Not only is it vegan and cruelty-free, it's also made with plant-based ingredients. For example, the yellow color of the printed side of the mask is colored by carrots. How cool is that?!
A lot of people have asked me, so what is a dry mask exactly? Well, it's similar to a sheet mask in that you wear it on your face for 15 minutes to get the full benefits. But it differs in that rather than being soaked in a serum, a dry mask has the highly concentrated active ingredients printed into the fabric and they're activated when warmed up by your skin. The benefits include that your skin is hydrated and glowy after using the mask (not just straight away but for several hours). One of the reasons for this is that the balm is able to deeply penetrate the skin without evaporating while you're wearing the mask, allowing for a deeper hydration to occur.
To use you simply take the mask out of the packet, place the yellow side against clean skin, loop over your ears, and gently massage to warm up. You can do the massage with you fingers or with a jade face roller. You wear it for 15 minutes and then slip it back into the packet and close since you will be able to use it 2 times per mask. You can see what it looks like and how it works in the video below.
