Looking to upgrade your skincare routine? Meet VERDURA naturalternatives. I had never heard of this Ontario-based company until the founder Brigitte reached out to me on Instagram. We agreed that she would send me some products and if I liked any of them, I would share them with you. Well, she selected four products for my dry/sensitive skin and I'm sharing all four with you! That's how good they are.
First of all, when I opened up the box, I noticed how lovely the packaging is on each of the products. The design is simple yet elegant. Second I noticed an incredible spa like smell coming from one of the packages. This turned out to be the Morning Dew facial soap, which now has a permanent spot on my counter so I can experience this spa smell every time I walk into my bathroom. Oh yeah, and it is super gentle and relaxing on my skin.
Next I noticed the most beautiful soft pink bottle of Lotus hydrating mist. I'm a sucker for a good facial spray and this is the best I've ever used. With flowers, plant extracts, and no synthetic fragrances, I not only feel refreshed, I also feel like I'm doing something good for my skin. If you're going to try one item first from VERDURA naturalternatives, I would start with this one. It's truly a gem in my skincare routine.
I feel like the Seed Protective facial serum was made for my skin. My dry skin soaks it up at night and I can see a noticeable difference in hydration in the morning. Although I do love this serum, I'm not sure yet if it will out perform some other serums that I have tried in the past, but it's definitely up there at the top.
And last but not least, the Coconut facial mask. It's a super gentle powder mask that you mix with water to activate. It dries almost clear and I noticed that my skin felt more hydrated afterwards. I've only used it twice so far but it's in my mask rotation now for when I'm wanting a relaxing, hydrating face mask. What I love most about VERDURA naturalternatives are the simple and pure ingredients. Flip over the coconut mask and you see four ingredients: coconut milk, oat, kaolin clay, aloe vera. No fillers, no synthetic ingredients.
I'm also really touched by the story of the founders. Brigitte has 25 years experience as an aesthetician and she's also a skin cancer survivor. She and her husband Claudio created the brand to help people to "take care of yourself, bringing luxury to your life without the guilt of harming yourself, anyone or anything else." You can really feel the love and care that was put into these products when you when you apply them to your face. It's like an aesthetician made them just for you. And she did!
